Are you sure....

That this is your first animation? Seems to me, either you did your homework and actually looked into making a flash before even opening the program, or you've done this before. Either way, this was pretty good. Water effect was a little messed up tho, just didn't look quite right.

Ya, I had some good instruction on Flash basics before I got started (did a couple quick tutorials and such). As for the water, nature is damn hard to mimic! Thanks for the feedback.

A little help for one to another....

try making a stop command at the end. on the last frame make it a keyframe and type in the action

stop();

Also, a replay button. make a symbol (button) and on the same frame as the stop command click on the button and type the action

on (release){
gotoAndPlay ("main");
}

where "main" is the instance name of the first frame of your animation. To name it just click the first frame of animation and go into the properties and name it whatever you want. Just make sure whatever you name it is the same name you use for your replay command. That should get rid of that annoying looping problem you seem to be facing.

Normally, I give sticks an insta-blam but this one, like few others, got a little more. I gave you a 2/5 and a 5/10 just because I can tell you worked on this and it's not that bad (even tho I really do HATE sticks).... Keep up the good work and try to make a background and preloader.... What flash program are you using that sucks so bad that you can't use sound? Time to upgrade much?

thanks for the tips im using pencil by the way and i can use sound its just it has to be in wav form and i even uploaded a sound converter but for some reason it still glitches

Sticks...

Now I've been saying for a while how much I can't stand all the recent stick animations on NG (specifically stating that I must have missed a "how to copy xiao xiao" tutorial because everything looks just the same) however, I gotta give it to ya man. This is one stick animation that I'm definitely tagging in favorites!

You captured the world man (everyone is on those sites way too much)! I wasn't a HUGE fan of ur art style (but it's your style so i'm not gonna bash it.... plus it was original) Sound quality was great.

Stop Command

Much better than my first animation ever....

To stop the animation, make a keyframe at your very last frame and in your "actions" type stop();

I wrote a review on this yesterday and you deleted it without even understanding my comment. Just for a refresher, I said "Did I miss a 'How to copycat Xiao Xiao tutorial'?" What I mean by that is that the animation is fine (smooth and flowing). I even give you credit for the punchline, but dude.... THEY'RE STICKS! Ever since Xiao Xiao, I have seen so many of these. Sure, they all have their little differences, but come on man... You gotta strive for something more.

so give it a 0, for all I care. I don't have that much experience in animating and i thought sticks would be nice to animate. I could've added a lot more, but I just uploaded it as is to see what people thought of it.

Random

Look, I've said it before and I'll say it again: If you call yourself "random" or make a comment on how random a particular incident is, then it negates that fact completely. Besides, most "random" events are anything but... To onlookers they may be random but if you follow a given thought process you will find that, to the "random" individual, it was a logical and natural thought progression.

Also, work on your animation a bit.

Animation meant to look rough cause he's a delivery guy? That is such a cop-out answer. You just didn't want to try that hard. This is one of your two submissions (Both still under judgement as of right now). Seems to me that you just wanted to have a cartoon on newgrounds so bad that you threw anything you could make up instead of attempting to make your first submission a good one. I'm not saying it has to be a masterpiece, just put some effort into it. Myself - I have no submissions at the moment. I am currently working on a video for a song I really enjoy but I refuse to post it until I am completely happy with every aspect of it. I think you should do the same :)
